Weekly Syllabus

Welcome back! We are in the homestretch of the school year now, and this is where the rubber hits the road. We will continue our study of the 20th century for the next 10 weeks, and you will be working on your termpaper. Remember to check all of the due dates and make sure to keep on top of things. Monday, March 16, 2015 (40 minutes)

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 652-656 (A Consumer Society).

Tuesday, March 17, 2015 (50 minutes)

Quiz: on last night's reading.

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework
: Read AP&AN pp. 656-659 (Marcus Garvey); pp. 660 (Suburbanization) to end of page; 663-666 (Lines of Defense).

Wednesday, March 18, 2015 (40 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework: Read AP&AN pp. 666-673 (The Election of 1928 and the End of the New Era).

Thursday, March 19, 2015 (45 minutes)

Topic: Discussion of the reading.

Homework
: Catch up with the reading and/or finish up your annotated bibliography.

Friday, March 20, 2015 (40 minutes)

Due: Your annotated bibliography is due at the start of class. You will hand it to me printed out on paper, using NoodleTools' "Print/Export" command. Remember that each source needs a sentence explaining WHY the source is a good one, along with a sentence saying HOW you plan to use the source in your paper and another sentence or two summarizing the source in your own words. This is a 30 point assignment.
