Weekly Syllabus

Week of Monday, October 13 through Friday, October 17


This is a short week with lots to accomplish.  You will have ninety minutes of class time and three nights worth of homework to collaborate with your group and to master the material in our second simulation. We will wrap things up with the simulation itself on Friday in front of our Parents' Weekend visitors. Stay focused and make the best of your time.

Tuesday, October 14, 2014 (45 min)

Topic: Time in class to work with your groups on the second simulation.
Homework:Prepare for the upcoming simulation.
 

Wednesday, October 15, 2014 --NO CLASS TODAY

Topic: Juniors will be taking the PSAT; Seniors and PG's will be taking the ACT writing study.

Homework: Prepare for the upcoming simulation. Remember that I'll be checking on your GoogleDoc.


Thursday, October 16, 2014 (45 min)

Topic: Time in class to meet with your groups and rehearse your presentations. I will be available to critique your rehearsals.
Homework:Prepare for tomorrow's simulation. 

Friday, October 17, 2014 (30 min)

Topic: Second Simulation-ACLU v. Luzerne County

We will meet in the Karambelas Room today.  We will squeeze in the parent visitors somewhere. The simulation will follow the same format as the first one, with the exception of the reduced time allocation as described on the portal.


Homework: Justices will write their opinions on the portal for the class to read. Lawyers will write a reflection on the portal.
