We are entering the home stretch of the term right now.  This week you will begin work on your final simulation, which will take place on Thursday, November 13th. Keep up the hard work!


Monday, November 3, 2014 (45 min)

Topic:  Information about juries. Video game simulating the jury experience.  Please bring a computer or network capable device if possible.

Homework: Begin reading Lawrence v. Texas.  Tonight you should read the syllabus, the majority opinion, and Justice O'Connor's concurrence

 

Tuesday, November 4, 2014 (40 min)

Topic: Drafting of teams for the final simulation. Intro to our final simulation.
Homework: Please read the dissents by Justice Thomas and Justice Scalia.
 

Wednesday, November 5, 2014 (50 min)

Topic: Discussion of the Lawrence case. 

Homework: Read the materials for our final simulation.


Thursday, November 6, 2014 (50 min)

Topic: Time in class to work with your group.  You will probably need to spend the time reading.
